What are ‘vegan’ condoms?
RFSU condoms are imported from Sweden, and are ‘vegan safe’. This means there aren’t any animal byproducts used in the manufacturing or testing of RFSU condoms. All condoms are made with only the highest quality latex, However, most condoms also include the ingredient ‘casein’; a dairy byproduct used as a lower grade elasticity ingredient. The elasticity in RFSU is made using only latex, thus, creating a high quality, pure latex, ‘vegan’ condom.
‘Vegan Certified’
The Vegan Action Foundation (www.vegan.org) certifies that no animal products of any kind were used in the manufacturing of RFSU condoms nor were any animals used in product testing. Only the highest qualities of ingredients are used in the manufacturing of RFSU condoms from Sweden. Unlike other condom brands, RFSU does not use casein; a dairy byproduct and a less expensive elasticity ingredient during any manufacturing process of their condoms. RFSU condoms are purely made with latex not with any of these other additives, creating the highest quality feel and function.
What is Vegan?
Vegan is: someone who, for various reasons, chooses to avoid using or consuming animal products. While vegetarians choose not to use flesh foods, vegans also avoid dairy and eggs, as well as fur, leather, wool, down, and cosmetics or chemical products tested on animals.
Why vegan condoms?
Veganism, the natural extension of vegetarianism, is an integral component of a cruelty-free lifestyle. Living vegan provides numerous benefits to animals’ lives, to the environment, and to our own health through a healthy diet and lifestyle. ‘Vegan’ condoms offer consumers an alternative to traditional safer-sex products that fit into their lifestyle choice.
